I honestly don't know where to start here. I've been a bit reluctant to make this blog. The thing is, my project for this anthroplogy class is going to be a mimicry of my thesis topic. I am writing my thesis on "French expats living in Japan writting blogs." So far I've been doing my research somewhat from afar. I've contacted a bunch of the bloggers, asked them for their permission and asked them a few questions. Let's just say when I contacted these people I've been trying to bust out my formal french in order to give the impression that I'm not just a 21 year old kid who's completely thrown off by the daunting task of writting a thesis... in french... of 40-60 pages.
So far no one seems to have caught on. Which of course is why this is all going to go to hell if I use this blog to intereact with them.
Am thinking I may need another blog and secret identity. That or I need to scratch this entry and make a new one. Any opinions? pearls of wisdom? is anybody out there?
-ps. if random french appears, know that I have gone with the option of sticking to this blog, and am now using it to do my research for my thesis and this project as well.

Your thesis sounds interesting. Where did you find the blogs to do reaserch on?
