Do you remember substitute teachers reading off names in Elementary School? I was that one name on the list that I could tell the sub was about to read just because of the "thank god, any incredibly easy to pronounce name" expression on their face. So googling my name is more a entertaining exercise to see what other people with my name have done in the past.
[By the way... I'm writing this from the Coffee Klatch right now... and I'm trying to figure out what I might have done to the woman across from in a previous life to make her apparently hate me so much. Seriously. I'm thinking in the past life she was the seal, and I was the killer whale. It's the only thing that makes sense to me. It's not like I'm wearing a T-shirt saying "F**K you" or anything. And the only thing I have done in her presence is to take my books about of my backpack. She wasn't even here for when I was laughing out loud to myself while watching a French comedian's sketch on the post office or that one time that I unplugged my head phone on accident and made everyone listen to Japanese rap. Yet she's still chosen to use me, and not the guy talking into the cellphone as killer glare target practice. So I'm sticking with the killer whale explanation. ]
So back to the googling of my name.
Someone with my name:
* has been the character on some TV show I've never heard of
* makes and owns a website to sell creepy porcelain cat faces on strings
* was one of the most promising people to go to a certain art college, before dying in a car crash (shiver)
* said on CNN that she "would die for this country"
* Swims freestyle at San Jose State
* Wrote a rave review for an eyeliner brush on Amazon.com
* is developing training for biodiesel production
* Is the name of character in a fanfiction about Regis and Kathie Lee as a guest on the morning TV show.
And I'm sure many other things.
Now you know

have you ever tried googling an online screen name you have? especially if you pick an obscure one, it will go right to your entries. my professor found one of my blogs that way. it was an eerie experience...
